Retail Customer Service Cashier
About The Position
Love’s cashiers work in a fast-paced environment, provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service, and help maintain clean facilities. Duties vary with business needs, so flexibility and teamwork are important. No prior experience is required; training is provided. The role includes assisting customers with products and services, processing transactions, offering additional sales opportunities, maintaining food safety for fresh food and deli products, and cleaning assigned areas and other parts of the travel stop. Team members may also cross-train in other departments, including Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
Requirements
- Flexibility and teamwork skills.
- Ability to move and lift more than 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
Responsibilities
- Help customers find items, answer questions about products and services, and address customer needs.
- Complete customer transactions, balance the cash register, and offer additional sales opportunities while following state and local laws.
- Use methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli products.
- Clean the direct working area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, and gas/diesel pumps, and complete trash runs.
- Potentially cross-train in Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
