Early Morning Part Time Retail Custodial Associate
About The Position
The Retail Custodial Associate maintains a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor scrubbers and buffers and performing dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows. The associate follows operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention standards and is cross-trained to support multiple areas of the store as business needs require. The associate helps maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms. The role also supports front-end coverage, store recovery, customer experience practices, merchandising and signage standards, and a positive store culture. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to listen and respond appropriately.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including replenishing essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, such as the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Follow operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
