About The Position

As a Furniture Sales Colleague, also known as a Big Ticket Colleague, you provide outstanding customer service in the Furniture areas and create welcoming, comfortable shopping experiences. You are responsible for meeting sales goals, selling protection plans, managing return rates, and promoting the loyalty program. You demonstrate product knowledge to educate customers and meet their needs. The position involves using technology to complete orders and support customers, taking part in product training, resolving customer concerns, maintaining contact before and after delivery, and following asset protection and inventory control procedures.

Requirements

• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to share information with diverse groups of customers and colleagues.
• Resourcefulness and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• 1–2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their furniture needs, demonstrate knowledge of store products and services, build sales, and minimize returns.
• Offer personalized recommendations and suggest complementary products.
• Use technology to complete customer orders and help customers select suitable products, including supporting customers who use devices to shop and compare.
• Participate in ongoing product knowledge training through technology and vendor partners.
• Provide high-level customer service through problem-solving and customer-focused solutions, including converting returns into exchanges and resolving delivery issues.
• Maintain contact with customers before and after delivery to support a positive shopping and delivery experience.
• Follow asset protection and inventory control compliance procedures.
• Foster acceptance and respect and build authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
