About The Position

The Retail Cashier & Sales Floor Support employee provides customer service at checkout and by phone, handling sales, returns, and other transactions. The role calls for a positive, energetic approach and a passion for fashion, with a focus on making service quick, easy, and enjoyable. Employees keep the cash wrap and sales floor orderly, lightly clean and restock as needed, stay informed about fashion trends and products, and share information about store events, Nordstrom gift cards, and Nordstrom Rewards. The position may also support order fulfillment and pickup in other store areas. This role involves continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent hand use, and handling merchandise, including lifting items up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally. The listed hourly pay range is $18.85–$19.65. Responsibilities

Assist customers by phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions while providing excellent customer service.
Listen to customer needs and provide quick, easy, and enjoyable service while sharing knowledge and enthusiasm for fashion.
Help keep the department runway-ready by straightening, lightly cleaning, and restocking the cash wrap area and sales floor.
Stay current on key fashion trends and products to help customers make purchase decisions.
Build customer relationships by sharing information about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Flexibly support other store areas, including order fulfillment and order pickup.
