Retail Buyer
About The Position
As a Crossroads Buyer, you hand-select items for resale and provide a high level of customer service, creating a fun, fashion-centered, affordable, and inclusive shopping experience. You welcome customers, explain how selling works, and encourage them to participate in second-hand fashion. The role includes cleaning, organizing, and merchandising to support a positive store environment. Crossroads offers training in buying, merchandising, and inventory practices, along with opportunities for promotion and professional development. The position supports the company’s second-hand retail business and its sustainability-focused approach to fashion.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of retail experience.
- A good eye for fashion and current trends.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Hand-select items to sell in the store.
- Greet customers and create a welcoming, fun, and inclusive environment.
- Explain the selling process and educate customers about selling their clothes to Crossroads.
- Provide customer service rooted in service, inclusion, and education.
- Act with integrity and reliability, including arriving on time and ready to work.
- Adapt to changing needs and support teammates and customers as needed.
- Clean, organize, and merchandise the store.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support shared success.
