Retail Buyer
About The Position
As a Crossroads Buyer, you hand-select items for sale in the stores and provide a high level of customer service, creating a fun, fashion-centered, affordable, and inclusive shopping experience. You welcome customers, explain how selling clothes to Crossroads works, and encourage them to participate in second-hand fashion. The role also involves cleaning, organizing, and merchandising to maintain a positive shopping and working environment. Crossroads offers training in buying, merchandising, and inventory practices, along with opportunities for advancement and professional development.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of retail experience.
- A good eye for fashion and current trends.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Available to work a minimum of 12 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Select items to sell in the store.
- Greet customers and create a welcoming, fun, and inclusive environment.
- Explain the buying process and educate customers about selling their clothes to Crossroads.
- Provide customer service with integrity, compassion, and a focus on inclusion and education.
- Support teammates and customers as needs change throughout the day.
- Clean, organize, and merchandise the store.
- Arrive on time and ready to work.
