About The Position

Dieterich Bank is looking for a Retail Banker to join our team at our branch in Edwardsville, IL. Retail Bankers play a vital role as they represent the face of Dieterich Bank within the communities we serve. This role is responsible for building customer relationships by assisting them to make informed choices, solve problems, and improve their financial well-being. Dieterich Bank has approximately $1.5 billion in assets with 16 locations in South Central Illinois and the Metro East region, as well as a loan production office in South County, St. Louis. Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience working in a face-to-face customer service role preferably in banking
• Must be dependable and able to work Saturdays on rotation basis
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Consultative skills to identify a client's financial needs.
• Must be able to communicate with customers well on a daily basis face-to-face or by telephone.
• Proficient in the use of technology (Microsoft Office, online banking, apps, etc.)

• Ability to work well with others and in a team environment.
• Maintain accuracy by remaining detail focused consistently.
• Ability to organize efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a fun, friendly, professional, and respectful environment.
• Assist customers with new account set up.
• Complete transactions for deposits and withdrawals.
• Process payments.
• Cash checks.
• Be a resource for online banking assistance, fraud related questions, and address change requests.
• Sell and promote our products and services.
• Resolve customer concerns.
• Assist other departments as needed.
