About The Position

The Retail Backroom Associate helps deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, loss prevention, labor, and safety standards, and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; processes purchases and returns accurately; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and prepares merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures. The role also includes store recovery, maintaining cleanliness and organization, contributing to shrink reduction, and providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Engage and interact with customers while following established customer experience practices.
Support and model a positive store culture grounded in honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Follow the merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed.
Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
