Retail Backroom Associate
About The Position
The Retail Backroom Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes processing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor, supporting merchandising and store recovery, and maintaining cleanliness and organization. Associates may also ring customer purchases and returns, promote credit and loyalty programs, support shrink reduction and safety efforts, and contribute to a positive store culture. Other duties may be assigned. The position is at Marshalls Store 1363 in Greenfield, Wisconsin. The starting pay range is $13.25 to $13.75 per hour; actual starting pay depends on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
