About The Position

Gantri is hiring a part-time seasonal Retail Associate for its showroom and retail space, The Shop, in SOMA, San Francisco. The associate will welcome visitors, answer questions about the products, process purchases, maintain displays, restock shelves, and help open and close the Shop. Product training will be provided. The position is temporary and seasonal, expected to begin November 21 and end approximately December 23, depending on seasonal business needs.

The schedule is primarily Saturdays, roughly 11 a.m.–5 p.m., with some shifts potentially running until 6 p.m. The expected schedule is six hours on Saturdays, plus approximately 2–4 additional hours during peak periods. Friday availability, including Black Friday, may be required. Additional availability may be requested for special events and high-volume holiday periods, including the week before major holidays. Hours and shifts may vary according to business needs. The role is located at 320 10th Street, SOMA, San Francisco, CA 94103, and pays $20 per hour. A complimentary Gantri light is also offered.

Requirements

• Friendly, calm, and comfortable talking with people.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Interested in design, art, books, fashion, or retail.
• Comfortable with basic technology, such as a tablet or Square POS system.
• Able to stand for most of a shift and lift light boxes.

Nice To Haves

• Prior retail experience is a plus but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and create a welcoming, low-pressure atmosphere.
• Answer questions about products and learn about the products through training.
• Process sales using the Square point-of-sale system.
• Keep displays tidy and restock shelves.
• Help open and close the Shop during shifts.
