About The Position

The Retail Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience through engaging with customers and applying the company’s customer experience principles. The role helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment and follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards. Associates may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position includes assisting with purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing merchandise, maintaining sales-floor presentation, and participating in store recovery and shrink-reduction efforts. Associates are expected to support a positive store culture, communicate effectively, and follow company policies and applicable labor laws. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and provide correct change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
