About The Position

The Retail Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience through engaging with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; processes customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; prepares and merchandises products for the sales floor; and participates in store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. The role also involves giving and receiving recognition and constructive feedback, following labor laws and company procedures, and performing other assigned duties. This is a temporary position at Sierra Store 0114 in Grandville, Michigan. The stated starting pay range is USD $14.00 to $14.50 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience principles.
Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain merchandising standards and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow labor laws, company policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work in multiple store areas if cross-trained and needed by the business.
