About The Position

Marshalls is hiring a part-time retail associate at its Pearl, Mississippi store. The role is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. Associates follow operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The position supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; follows established customer-experience practices; and contributes to store recovery, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. The starting pay range is USD $12.50 to $13.00 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfied customer experience.
• Model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May be cross-trained to work in multiple store areas to support business needs.
