About The Position

Crystal Mountain is hiring an energetic, outgoing, and guest-focused Retail Associate to create an exceptional shopping experience. The associate provides friendly, knowledgeable service and helps guests find products for their mountain adventures. This seasonal, part-time position supports retail operations including cashiering, merchandising, stocking, inventory management, visual presentation, and guest assistance. The role calls for strong customer service, a willingness to learn and communicate product knowledge, and a focus on helping guests find products that enhance their Crystal Mountain experience. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced retail environment. Retail Associates represent the Crystal Mountain brand, maintain a clean and inviting store, maximize sales opportunities, and collaborate with the Retail Team to achieve department goals. The position is based at Crystal Mountain, Washington, and reports to the Retail Manager / Sr. Manager. The listed wage range is $20.50–$22.00.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to adapt and grow.
Ability to work in a self-directed environment.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays throughout the winter season.
Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, mobile devices, and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, push, and pull for extended periods on an occasional basis.
Ability to talk, listen, and ask questions while communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Greet customers, identify their needs, and assist with product selection.
Build genuine connections with guests and provide a welcoming shopping experience.
Recommend apparel, equipment, accessories, gifts, and resort merchandise; explain product features, benefits, sizing, fit, and proper use.
Suggest additional products and accessories to enhance the guest experience and maximize sales opportunities.
Process POS transactions accurately, including credit card transactions, returns, and exchanges, in accordance with company policies.
Answer guest questions about products, pricing, promotions, and resort offerings, and resolve concerns professionally.
Maintain an appealing sales floor through merchandising, product placement, and display execution.
Create displays in high-traffic areas that support seasonal promotions and sales opportunities.
Stock, replenish, and organize merchandise; monitor inventory and communicate replenishment needs to supervisors and management.
Assist with receiving, tagging, organizing, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor.
Maintain accurate product presentation, pricing, signage, and brand standards.
Support inventory counts, product transfers, and seasonal store resets.
Complete opening and closing procedures, including store preparation, cleaning, and securing the retail space.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment.
Attend product clinics, vendor trainings, and department meetings to build product knowledge.
Stay current on resort offerings, products, brands, and seasonal promotions.
Collaborate with Retail, Rental, and other resort departments to provide a seamless guest experience.
Communicate supply needs, operational concerns, and guest feedback to leadership.
Assist at other retail locations or venues as business needs require.
Follow company policies regarding safety, security, loss prevention, and guest service standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
