About The Position

Contribute to Goodwill’s mission in a retail store by maximizing efficiency, store appearance, and customer and associate satisfaction. Process donations in a timely manner for placement on the sales floor. This role involves inspecting, sorting, tagging, and preparing donated goods in accordance with the Retail Operations Manual and productivity standards. The associate works as part of a fast-paced team, may be cross-trained in production and customer service positions, and must follow Goodwill’s safety, asset protection, privacy, and security procedures. The position has no supervisory responsibilities and does not require driving. A criminal background check is required. High school diploma or GED is preferred; a combination of education and work experience may be considered. No previous experience or professional certification is required. Evening and/or weekend availability is required as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

Inspect donations and raw materials for quality and marketability according to the Retail Operations Manual.
Sort raw materials into categories for store use, salvage, or trash.
Stand and tag donated items according to Goodwill’s rotation system.
Stand and hang sorted goods for the retail sales floor in accordance with productivity standards.
Produce the required number of items each day according to Goodwill’s minimum standards.
Follow uniform dress code standards.
Maintain an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
Work as a team member in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities and learning new procedures.
Be cross-trained in multiple production and customer service positions.
Follow asset protection control and compliance procedures.
