About The Position

Contributes to Goodwill’s mission by providing excellent customer service and maintaining the store’s appearance. The role includes cleaning and straightening the sales floor, replenishing merchandise, and assisting with visual presentation. The associate has no supervisory responsibilities and is not required to drive as part of the job. The position requires passing a criminal background check and following Goodwill safety rules and privacy procedures when handling confidential information. The associate must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as business needs dictate. The posting lists 20–25 hours and shifts of 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and/or 12:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m.

Requirements

Successfully pass a criminal background check.
Be available to work evenings and/or weekends as business needs dictate.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred; a combination of education and work experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Maintain an enthusiastic, positive attitude and act courteously and with interest during customer interactions.
Greet customers promptly, make eye contact and smile, and thank them at the end of transactions and when they leave.
Engage with customers on the sales floor and provide assistance when needed.
Process customer transactions quickly and accurately while following cash-handling guidelines.
Help place fresh product on the sales floor and rotate stock.
Understand the store’s Round Up goal and meet the individual goal assigned by the store manager.
Keep the sales floor clean, neat, and orderly, and keep wrap desks free of clutter.
Maintain floor visual presentations, including houseware end caps, visuals on the end of the H-rack, and displays with low stock.
Bring store cleanliness issues to management’s attention if unable to address them.
Follow Goodwill safety rules and regulations.
Follow applicable privacy procedures to protect confidential information.
