Retail Assistant Manager
About The Position
McClure Oil is seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to help provide customers with a high-quality service experience and support day-to-day store operations. The role assists the Store Manager by directing employees’ daily activities, helping ensure the team has the resources it needs, and creating a friendly, positive environment for employees and guests. The Assistant Manager also performs clerk duties, trains new store associates, supports stocking and receiving, and completes paperwork and register balancing and closing as directed by the manager. Other duties may be assigned, and responsibilities may change at management’s discretion.
Requirements
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to reach, stand, and move about for at least 12 hours at a time.
- Ability to use a ladder and lift and move objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers, offer assistance, answer questions, and help deliver a positive customer experience.
- Help maintain a friendly and inviting store environment for employees and guests.
- Direct employees’ daily activities and help ensure the team has the resources needed to succeed.
- Work as a clerk during each shift and help train new store associates.
- Assist with stocking and receiving products.
- Complete daily paperwork and balance and close the register as directed by the manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
