About The Position

The Retail Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager with daily store operations and helps create a friendly, inviting, and positive environment for customers and employees. The role includes providing customer service, directing employees’ daily activities, acting as a cashier, assisting with training, stocking and receiving products, and completing paperwork and register closing tasks as directed by the manager. Duties and responsibilities may be changed or reassigned by management.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to reach, stand, and move about for at least 12 hours at a time.
• Ability to use a ladder and lift and move objects weighing 50 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, offer assistance, answer questions, and help provide a positive customer experience.
• Help maintain a friendly and inviting store environment for employees and guests.
• Direct employees’ daily activities and help ensure the team has the resources needed to succeed.
• Work as a clerk on each shift and help train new store associates.
• Assist with stocking and receiving products.
• Complete daily paperwork and balance and close the register as directed by the manager.
• Help create a friendly and positive work environment for employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
