About The Position

UNIQLO is seeking a Retail Alterations Specialist to perform alterations on pants, ensuring they fit individual customers. This role involves using industrial sewing machines and requires a strong understanding of sewing techniques and machine operation. The specialist will also support the sales floor by providing excellent customer service and maintaining display tidiness.

Requirements

• At least six (6) months prior sewing/ fitting experience in an alterations or tailoring department
• Maintain specified productivity guidelines
• Strong communication skills, fluency in English mandatory
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends
• Working knowledge of sewing machines such as lock stitch, blind stitch, and serge machine

Responsibilities

• Sew hem of pants with industrial sewing machine
• Trim excess threads using scissors
• Measure, cut and sew hems following seams, edges, or markings on pants
• Alter pants hemlines to fit individual customers
• Support the sales floor as needed to provide excellent customer service and maintain tidiness of displays
