About The Position

Sea Colony Recreational, located in Bethany Beach, DE, is seeking a full-time Retail Administrative Assistant. This role is part of Troon, a global leader in golf and community management, and involves contributing to a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property organization. The assistant will perform various administrative functions to support the daily operations of the office, department, and multiple retail locations. Key duties include conducting sales and inventory management, researching and preparing statistics for departmental reports, assisting with budget maintenance, and resolving customer service issues. The position requires working holidays during the summer peak season and a strong retail background.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum five years experience in administrative and retail support.
  • Familiarity with financial and customer service principles.
  • Good math skills with the ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets and sales statistics.
  • Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular).
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs and walk to all venues on beach.
  • Retail background is a must.

  • BA or BS degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and distributing information within the office.
  • Answering phones, taking memos, and maintaining files.
  • Sending and receiving correspondence.
  • Monitoring, recording expenditures and creating spreadsheets in reporting expenses to manager.
  • Serve as administrative liaison with other departments and outside entities.
  • Researches and prepares statistics and analysis for basic departmental reports.
  • Prepares and processes: purchase orders, expense reports, invoices, check requests, and telecommunication requests for approval.
  • Performs programming of POS systems and maintaining hardware.
  • Liaison to tech support and IT committee.
  • In season directly aids in the management of all retail venues.
  • Monitoring and maintain Retail store inventory.
  • Assist the Retail Manager in planning and implementing strategies to at customers.
  • Pre and post season develops and implements inventory plans for inventory turn.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Additional tasks assign.
  • Travel requirement – Buying trip with the Manager 1 or 2 times a year.
