About The Position

As a Retail Account Executive, you’ll be the face of amika in the field and act as liaison between retail accounts and the amika NA Retail team. You'll support in-store education, events, and sales activations across a defined territory, focusing on all retail partners. You're the connection between our brand and the beauty advisors on the floor, driving education, enthusiasm, and most importantly, sales. You are the heartbeat of amika in your territory. As a key influencer, you are responsible for building and nurturing a high-performing freelance team while growing market share within a developing retail territory. Your ultimate goal? Leveling up to regional leadership by cultivating best-in-class field execution—all while keeping it fun, friendly, and totally amika.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Maintain reliable transportation and be willing to drive up to 120 miles daily commute (approximately 2 hours)
  • Live within boundaries of defined region (in proximity to bulk of accounts)
  • Willing to be in-store 80% of the time
  • Open to overnight regional travel 20% of the time
  • Embody a “in the house” presence
  • Proven sales success in a retail environment
  • Top-tier customer service and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with problem-solving savvy
  • Self-accountability, collaborative spirit, desire for in-role evolution
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Multi-district management experience of 2+ years
  • Ability to plan, manage and lead events or activations
  • Computer navigation (Outlook, Teams, Word)
  • Hair and/or beauty industry knowledge
  • Ability to actively demonstrate product

Responsibilities

  • Manage back-end workflow including reporting, planning, follow-ups, invoice approvals, scheduling, and shipping.
  • Manage T&E budget, freelance fund allocation, book travel, track ROI, and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly territory retail goals.
  • Submit weekly statistics and insights via ASANA, highlighting wins and opportunities, competitor insights, retailer updates, and event/education results.
  • Craft quarterly call cycle calendars and adjust to market needs.
  • Maintain visual merchandising excellence in every store and report completion or concerns.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure strong in-stock positions with store and district leaders, and communicate needs and concerns with key amika stakeholders.
  • Foster strong ties with store leadership, beauty advisors, and district managers.
  • Inspire, develop, train, upskill, and motivate freelance teams to maximize ROI.
  • Achieve weekly sales goals in tandem with freelance coordinator in-store coaching and demos, and side-by-side selling.
  • Educate retail staff on product knowledge and selling strategies, and secure high-level training moments (district, regional, round robins) with retailer leadership.
  • Manage and plan weekly freelance store events and monthly FSC events aligned with brand standards, projecting inventory stock lift for key activations.
