Position Summary: The ReStore Cashier supports the mission of Habitat Lenawee by processing financial transactions in the Point of Sale cash register. In addition, the ReStore Cashier maintains a clean cash wrap area, provides assistance to ReStore customers, and assists in the donation intake area.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in customer service and cash handling roles.
Cash handling experience.
Effective interpersonal communication skills and demonstrates active listening skills, patience, the ability to interact and collaborate with a diverse group of people with a wide array of personalities, knowledge, and skill levels.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of personality styles.
Compassionately and ethically serves a diverse population.
Basic computer skills, ability to navigate the internet, utilize software programs, and adaptability to use other technology related applications.

Nice To Haves

Prior sales, merchandising, pricing, and inventory experience with knowledge of building materials, home improvement, and construction/deconstruction means methods techniques and materials is preferred.
