About The Position

Monroe Public Schools is seeking a Restorative Practices Analyst for Cantrick School for the 2026/2027 school year. This is an exempt position working under a personal contract for 8 hours per day for 193 working days for the 2026/2027 fiscal year. The salary range is $42,000-$70,000, commensurate with education and experience. The job goal is to support School Administration in their implementation of restorative practices, including providing direct restorative services to staff, students, and families through the implementation and operation of the student responsibility room.

Requirements

• Three to five years of experience within a school setting is preferred.
• Successful experience in working with students with pervasive, persistent behavioral needs.
• Working knowledge of social emotional curriculum, accommodations, and differentiated instruction.
• Theoretical and practical understanding of restorative practices, conflict resolution and de-escalation, plus a commitment to attend prescribed professional development to develop necessary skills.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of research-based practices in the field of behavioral science that include, but not limited to positive behavioral supports, restorative practices, mindfulness, zones of regulation, and other social emotional learning strategies.
• Ability to navigate and use, with fidelity, sophisticated student data management systems, including Power School, PMT, and Kickboard.
• Competence with gathering, analyzing, applying, and reporting student and other required data to actively participate in the creation of Student Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Possess a thorough understanding of current educational research, including research related to restorative practices and a willingness to seek advanced training in restorative practices.
• Strong communication skills, written and oral, including the ability to provide necessary reports to School Administration, self-motivated with organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work harmoniously independently and as a part of a team.
• Able to manage collaboration with other administrators, teachers, families, students, and community organizations.
• Possess the skill needed to analyze problems or concerns, develop alternative approaches to these, and make reasonable decisions which fall within policy and standard practices of the district.
• Ability to work under pressure and effectively diffuse crisis situations.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Experience using student data (achievement data, perception survey data, student interest data,) to create and implement action plans that impact students' level of success.

Responsibilities

• Provide a learning environment for students to use as a positive thinking area, a place for Restorative Practices and Circles to be completed, and a place where appropriate behavioral interventions can be implemented.
• Provide students with time to think about their choices, create a plan to help them make things better for future instances, allow them to correct their behavior, and restoratively repair the harm they have done.
• Respond to incoming referrals from school staff to assess appropriate response.
• Contact parents/guardians, as appropriate, to invite or inform about a restorative meeting.
• Provide participants, parents, Administration and appropriate staff with agreement/outcome of restorative process with follow-up with all parties to ensure completion of agreements/outcome.
• Work collaboratively with building administration to provide students with opportunities to productively work through conflicts using Restorative Practices.
• Focus on collaboration and support building teams with addressing the social/emotional/behavioral needs of students.
• Work collaboratively with building teams, including case managers of special education students, to determine, implement and monitor the appropriate behavioral interventions for students in addition to identifying potential restorative community service opportunities.
• Consult with school teams to ensure the appropriate academic and behavioral success/progress of students.
• Train staff on behavioral interventions, Restorative Practices, Dialogues and use of resources, as needed.
• Collect and analyze student data to support the development of quality Positive Behavior Improvement Plans and support the team with the implementation of complex systems of student support.
• Work collaboratively with teachers/instructional staff, and administration to create classroom learning environments that assures learning.
• Communicate effectively with families of students to inform them of their child's social-emotional and behavioral needs/choices/concerns.
• Engage families as appropriate in the problem-solving process or informing of providing consequences for the student and being a part of determined Restorative Practices.
• Work cooperatively with community agencies involved with students and families.
• Serve as a resource of knowledge for innovative research-based behavioral interventions, Restorative Practice, a plethora of social emotional learning strategies and the district social emotional curriculum instruction.
• Build capacity for staff to understand quality instructional practices for improved behavioral results.
• Assess and develop a cycle of support and accountability for addressing students' behavioral needs.
• Focus on implementing and training students on the use of Restorative Practices and Restorative Circles.
• Work with School Administration and School Resource Officers to discuss school climate concerns and specific incidents that affect school climate.
