About The Position

Kern River Transitional Care is seeking a dedicated Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to join our caring team! We are looking for a compassionate and motivated CNA with an active RNA certification to support our residents in maintaining and improving mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Requirements

• Valid CNA license in California and RNA Certificate
• Current CPR certification
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, pushing/pulling, stooping, and kneeling
• Must be able to frequently stand and assist residents with mobility

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience in a long-term care setting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of PCC charting software a plus
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with restorative exercises and mobility programs.
• Support transfers, ambulation, range of motion, and positioning.
• Provide assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and bathing.
• Support therapy departments with active/passive ROM as needed.
• Help residents prepare for activities, appointments, and daily meals.
• Assist with toileting, including catheter care and hygiene routines.
• Maintain clean, comfortable clothing and bedding for residents.
• Observe, report, and document changes in condition to nursing or therapy teams.
• Foster a warm, calm, and positive atmosphere in the facility.
