About The Position

Northridge Village is a senior living community offering independent living, assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term care. The Restorative Aide - CNA provides direct care to nursing home residents in accordance with restorative nursing policies and procedures, and may also assist with resident care while performing restorative tasks. The position offers full-time and part-time openings, generally with 8- or 12-hour shifts. The listed day shift is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Full-time positions are 30 or more hours per week; part-time positions are up to 29 hours per week.

Requirements

Hold an active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license.
Be in acceptable standing with the Nurse Aide Registry.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with progressive range-of-motion exercises and progressive mobility, including bed activities, sitting, transferring, standing, stair climbing, and walking.
Assist residents with progressive eating during breakfast and lunch.
Assist residents with progressive bathing and dressing.
Assist and teach residents in progressive grooming.
Take and record residents’ vital signs according to facility schedules and policies, including during restorative activities.
Document or report residents’ progress and medical condition to charge nurses and supervisors; participate on committees as needed.
Work closely with the physical therapy department.
Document all restorative tasks in the electronic medical record.
Ensure personal and staff compliance with state and federal regulations, including requirements for bloodborne pathogens, infection control, hazardous materials, and fire safety.
Ensure personal and staff compliance with residents’ rights.
Provide care in accordance with the restorative aide assignment sheet.
