About The Position

BluSky Restoration is hiring a full-time Restoration Technician to respond to emergencies and help restore residential and commercial properties after damage. The role is a first responder on property-loss situations and helps mitigate damage through services including water damage mitigation, structural board-up and security, on-location cleaning, microbial remediation, content pack-outs, content processing and deodorization, content storage, and content handling. Previous experience and IIRC certifications are a plus but are not required; BluSky will help provide needed training and development.

The position offers a base pay of $22–$27 per hour, with starting pay of up to $27 per hour depending on experience. Occasional travel is required, less than 25% of the time; some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training or meetings. The employee must be able to be on call 24 hours a day. The work environment is usually quiet. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds and regularly sit, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, hear, and move or walk around the office.

Requirements

• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Successfully pass a national criminal background check and motor vehicle report background check.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Be able to be on call 24 hours a day.

Nice To Haves

• One year of restoration industry or maintenance experience is preferred.
• Previous experience and IIRC certifications are a plus, but are not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform water extraction and mitigation.
• Perform fire and smoke cleaning and restoration.
• Perform microbial remediation.
• Clean up vandalism, crime scenes, and biohazards.
• Perform demolition.
• Manage and supervise temporary labor personnel in the field.
• Provide the highest level of customer service with empathy.
• Perform all other duties or projects as assigned.
