About The Position

Voda Cleaning & Restoration of Greater Houston – North is a locally owned cleaning and restoration company serving the areas north and north east of Houston. We specialize in professional water damage restoration, mold remediation, and odor mitigation as well as carpet, tile and grout, upholstery, hardwood/laminate floor, and HVAC duct cleaning services. We are committed to professionalism, quality workmanship, reliability, and outstanding customer service for both residential and commercial clients. Lead and manage day-to-day field operations. Serve as the licensed Mold Remediation Contractor (MRC) on company projects, ensuring all mold remediation work follows the mold assessment protocol, industry standards, and the Texas Administrative Code. Supervise crews performing mold remediation, water damage restoration, HVAC duct cleaning, carpet and upholstery cleaning, and related services. Manage projects from scope through completion, including scheduling, documentation, customer communication, and quality control.

Requirements

  • Licensed Mold Remediation Contractor (MRC) by the TDLR. Current and in good standing.
  • High school diploma (or GED) required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mold remediation and/or restoration, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or project management role.
  • Driver License in good standing.
  • Proficient with computers, email, and mobile devices.
  • Experience with job management, moisture documentation, and estimating software (Xactimate a plus).
  • Capable of quickly learning company software systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of Texas mold remediation rules, including work analysis, containment, notifications, worker protection, and clearance requirements.
  • Experienced in professional mold remediation and water damage restoration.
  • Ability to read and apply mold assessment protocols and develop remediation work plans.
  • Abilty to estimate, schedule and plan projects
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate and troubleshoot cleaning and restoration equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate field crews.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and makes sound decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, adjusters, Assessors, and crew members.
  • Ability and willingness to perform hands-on work
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, and working in attics, crawlspaces, and confined spaces when necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of HVAC duct cleaning with negative air, structural drying, and carpet cleaning is a plus.
  • Established in the Greater Houston area with a strong local network is a plus, including industry partners, subcontractors, and reliable on-call workers who can be brought in to support crews during high-volume periods.
  • Xactimate experience
  • IICRC Certifications: AMRT, WRT, ASD, FSRT, OCT, CCT
  • NADCA Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the licensed MRC on company mold remediation projects and ensure full compliance with the Texas Administrative Code and TDLR requirements.
  • Prepare work analyses and remediation work plans based on mold assessment protocols.
  • Schedule, supervise, and direct crews and Registered Mold Remediation Workers (MRWs) on all job sites.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local industry partners, subcontractors, and on-call labor to support surge capacity and job coverage.
  • Ensure proper containment, negative air, PPE, and worker protection on every project.
  • Coordinate with mold assessment consultants (MACs) on post-remediation assessment and Certificate of Mold Damage Remediation (CMDR).
  • Communicate professionally with customers, insurance adjusters, and property managers on scope, progress, and completion.
  • Review and approve job documentation, moisture logs, photos, work orders, and authorizations.
  • Inspect completed work and ensure quality standards are met before job close-out.
  • Train new technicians and support crew development and certifications.
  • Manage equipment, vehicle, and inventory needs; ensure equipment is maintained and job-ready.
  • Hold self and crews accountable for safety, quality, and company standards.
  • Assist with estimating, scoping, and job costing.
  • Available for after-hours emergency response and occasional night/weekend work.
