About The Position

Primoris Gas Operations, encompassing companies like Q3 Contracting, ARB, Primoris Distribution Services, Snelson, and Pipejacking Trenchless, has over 60 years of experience in the natural gas distribution industry. Q3C is seeking laborers to join our Restoration Team in Minnesota. Applicants with a commercial driver’s license are encouraged to apply. Asphalt and Landscape laborers perform manual labor as directed to safely and efficiently support our restoration department. This includes tasks related to concrete patch work, sod restoration, blacktop, asphalt, and other duties assigned by the foreman. Concrete laborers will engage in various tasks using hand and power tools, such as cleaning and preparing sites, digging trenches, setting braces, cleaning up debris, and tearing out concrete. They may also assist in building and dismantling forms for concrete pouring, grading dirt/concrete, cleaning construction sites to eliminate hazards, and aligning forms. Concrete laborers are responsible for building curbs and preparing, forming, and pouring ADA-compliant ramps that meet inspection standards before and after completion.

Requirements

  • Must be dependable.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in the elements.
  • Possession of a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Holds a current drivers license with no restrictions.
  • Able to work overtime as dictated by workload volumes.
  • Close vision is required for some functions.
  • Distance and peripheral vision is required for safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior construction knowledge helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual labor as directed for safe and efficient support of our restoration department.
  • Perform manual labor with respect to concrete patch work, sod restoration, blacktop, and asphalt.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by foreman with respect to restoration.
  • Perform many different tasks that may require the use of many hand and power tools.
  • Clean and prepare sites.
  • Dig trenches.
  • Set braces to support form work.
  • Clean up rubble/debris.
  • Tear out concrete.
  • Assist in building and positioning forms for pouring concrete.
  • Dismantle forms after use.
  • Grade dirt/concrete.
  • Clean construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
  • Assist to align, straighten, plumb, and square forms.
  • Build curb.
  • Prepare, form, and pour proper ADA compliant ramps that pass inspection prior to pour and after completion.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Perform physically demanding work in the elements.
  • Restore a project back to the same or better condition.
  • Be respectful of fellow workers, clients, and client’s customers.
  • Understand safety zones while working around equipment (e.g., backhoes, bore rigs, air compressors).
