About The Position

Boston Pizza International is seeking a Bilingual (Restaurant) Corporate Trainer (English / French) to join their team, supporting the Canadian market from the Greater Montreal area. This role involves contributing to the organization's success by working closely with new franchisees, management, and staff in restaurants to train all duties and procedures related to heart of house or front of house operations, in accordance with Boston Pizza International's training programs.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory/management role at a casual dining restaurant, either in the Front of House or Heart of House.
  • Availability for extensive travel for extended periods of time.
  • Bilingual (French/English) with the ability to read, write, and speak both languages fluently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office programs and Microsoft Teams.
  • Great training and public speaking skills.
  • Agile, adaptable, and able to handle ever-changing situations, some of which can be difficult.
  • Flexibility with the ability to adjust schedule as situations arise.
  • Ability to work as a team player and independently.
  • Good organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Build the Boston Pizza Brand through supporting New Restaurant Openings (NRO) across Canada (extensive travel will be required).
  • Carry out in-depth, hands-on training with franchisees, General Managers, and Kitchen Managers through the Hospitality Leadership Training program (HLT).
  • Provide training and support to franchisees, managers, and restaurant-level staff during new/re-sale support training in areas such as Dine-In, Takeout and Delivery, POSi Touch software, labor costs, operations, menu execution, food cost, and scheduling.
  • Work with the Senior Training Manager and Senior Corporate Trainers on supporting the development of training programs, training tools, and management resources.
  • Support franchisees to achieve business goals and operate world-class restaurants through standardized Corporate Training programs for Franchisees and Managers.
