About The Position

The Food Service Team Member position typically involves a variety of duties centered around providing excellent customer service, preparing food, maintaining a clean store, and ensuring operational efficiency. This role requires a friendly and approachable demeanor, with a focus on delivering an excellent customer experience. Team members will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy in orders and efficient operations. The position also requires attention to detail, physical stamina for standing and moving, and clear communication skills. Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions and cash management.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers as they enter the store.
  • Take customer orders and provide helpful suggestions.
  • Ensure customers have an enjoyable and satisfying experience.
  • Address customer questions or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other menu items according to standards.
  • Handle ingredients and follow food safety protocols for storage and handling.
  • Toast sandwiches, prepare hot meals, and ensure proper portion sizes.
  • Maintain quality and presentation of food items.
  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process customer transactions.
  • Accurately handle cash and provide correct change.
  • Assist with balancing the cash register and perform end-of-shift cash counting.
  • Keep the store clean and organized, including the dining area, restrooms, and kitchen.
  • Perform regular cleaning tasks, such as wiping down counters, sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash bins.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with training new team members as needed.
  • Support team efforts during busy periods.
  • Restock ingredients, supplies, and other items as necessary.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages to management.
  • Ensure all ingredients and materials are stored properly.
  • Help with opening and closing the store, which may include setting up or breaking down equipment, cleaning, and securing the store.
