About The Position

The Restaurant Supervisor will oversee and coordinate all Front of House (FOH) areas, ensuring adherence to Family Style Service. This role involves effective and courteous interaction with guests and employees, demonstrating resilience in challenging situations. The supervisor is responsible for the performance of FOH staff on a shift basis to guarantee exemplary guest satisfaction. They will also assist and advise other departments and personnel to ensure the overall success of the restaurant and company. Training, implementation, and follow-through of all training materials are key to ensuring proper staff development. Daily review of staffing levels is required to maintain and control costs in line with business levels, maximizing guest satisfaction. The supervisor will assist management with sanitation and nutrition practices to meet or exceed requirements. During operating hours, they will coordinate all FOH activities, including greeting, seating, dining room service, and FOH interactions, to provide the best possible food and service experience. Assistance with staff interviews, hiring, evaluations, coaching, and counseling is expected to develop employees and build a cohesive team. Maintaining costs through proper controls, inventory management, and ordering according to standards and practices is also a responsibility. The role requires completing all company-required training within designated time frames and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Supervisory experience in a restaurant setting

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all FOH areas
  • Adhere to Family Style Service
  • Interact effectively and courteously with all guests and employees and demonstrate resiliency to deal with difficult situations in all types of business conditions
  • Supervise and manage the performance of FOH restaurant staff on a shift basis to ensure exemplary guest satisfaction
  • Assist and advise other departments and company personnel, as necessary, to assure the successful performance of the restaurant and the company overall
  • Direct or perform training, implementation and follow-through of all training materials to ensure proper training of staff
  • Review staffing levels daily to maintain and control costs reflective of business levels to ensure maximum guest satisfaction
  • Assist manager with all sanitation and nutrition practices in restaurant to ensure outlet meets or exceeds said practices and requirements
  • During operating hours, coordinate all FOH activities including but not limited to greeting, seating of guests, dining room service, FOH interactions to achieve the best food and service experience for the guests
  • Assist management in staff interviews, hires, evaluations and coaching and counseling to develop employees and build a cohesive team in the restaurant that will provide superior service to our guests
  • Assist management in maintaining cost through proper controls, inventory control and ordering as set forth by standards and practices
  • Complete all company-required training within designated time frames
  • Perform other duties as assigned
