About The Position

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the administration, operation, and direct management of the restaurant. This role involves developing and implementing business plans and budgets, managing inventory and ordering, and leading a team of servers, hosts, cashiers, and utility staff. The supervisor will also oversee staffing levels, delegate duties, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

• Three (3) years’ experience in restaurant supervision and/or management, purchasing and inventory control.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission for the position and an Alcohol Beverage Control card and any applicable health certifications.
• Ability to analyze and interpret operation results.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Ability to perform assigned duties under pressures.
• Knowledge of sanitation laws and health regulations and applicable OSHA regulation.
• A variety of task and deadlines requires irregular work schedule.
• Ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive environment.
• Accuracy in completing assigned duties in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assist in a supervisory capacity with the business plan and budget for the restaurant.
• Responsible for inventory control and ordering supplies, food and drink necessary to operate the restaurant.
• Developing servers, host, cashiers and utility staff. To include training, interviewing for new hires, assisting with performance management inclusive of disciplinary counseling and conducting performance evaluations.
• Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted level of employment.
• Delegate authority and assign duties as necessary.
• Review departmental status with Manager.
• Develop, implement and supervise programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
• Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
