About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Restaurant Service Staff member. This role can encompass Busser, Food Runner, or Host/ess positions. As a Busser, the primary responsibility is to quickly clean and sanitize tables, ensuring they are ready for the next guests. A Food Runner will be tasked with delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests accurately and efficiently. A Host/ess will be responsible for welcoming guests, assigning tables, and coordinating with the front-of-house team for table readiness. The role requires embodying the company's Promise to 'Lead with Love,' providing friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience.

Requirements

General food and beverage knowledge involving at least 1 year of front-of-the-house operations is preferred
A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
Must be able to frequently communicate and develop rapport with guests and associates and have a working relationship with the resort management team

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of delivering food orders from the kitchen to the guests in an accurate and quick manner
Answer questions about food, beverage, restaurant functions, services, and resort services and activities
Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food, beverage, and service. Respond promptly and courteously to their needs and requests
Take dirty tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in the appropriate areas for washing
Communicate with server and hostess/host to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service
Remove used tableware between courses; clear and reset tables after guests leave and between seating, promptly clean tabletops, chairs and booths. Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletops
