Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry; leadership/operations experience strongly preferred.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Agility to interpret and analyze financial statements.
  • Team player, collaborative and attentive.
  • Excellent guest service and people skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask effectively.
  • Licensed to operate an automobile without restrictions and have reliable transportation to meet banking obligations.
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada (as a citizen, resident or holding other current and valid work permit).

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the General Manager in overall restaurant operations, execution, management of staff, controllable profit plan achievement, guest count growth, and sales building activities.
  • Assisting in employee selection, retention, and continuous operational improvement.
  • Preparing and interpreting financial and operational reports, analyzing data, and developing solutions to ensure operating goals are achieved.
  • Overseeing assigned shifts, monitoring brand standards execution and adherence by directing hourly staff to achieve guest service standards in a clean and pleasant environment.
  • Developing and coaching hourly employees on brand standards, internal policies and procedures, and other guest-focused programs to exceed guest service standards.
  • Working with the General Manager to attract, hire, onboard, and retain the best hourly talent.
  • Working with the General Manager to develop hourly employees through corporate training programs, individual development plans, and system assignments.
  • Maintaining compliance with Denny's Brand Standards, including all provincial, local, and federal regulations.
  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to guest satisfaction and Denny's Core Values when interacting with others.
  • Performing other duties as required or assigned.
