About The Position
The Restaurant Host at Marketplace Café is responsible for providing outstanding customer service by greeting and seating customers quickly and professionally. The host shares knowledge and enthusiasm about the restaurant’s menu and products, helps train new employees by reinforcing successful performance and offering assistance, and supports other restaurant areas as requested. Additional duties may include answering telephones, completing financial transactions, stock work, cleanup, and documentation. Hours and schedule vary by week according to business needs.
Requirements
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Have a food handler’s card where required by local and state regulations.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of food service or hospitality experience (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat customers quickly and professionally.
