About The Position

The Restaurant Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations to ensure exceptional guest service, smooth workflow, and adherence to company standards. This role leads and supports service staff, resolves guest concerns, and helps drive sales, efficiency, and team performance.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality leadership role (1-3 years preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant operations
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Employees are expected to use AI responsibly and in compliance with company policies, data privacy requirements, confidentiality obligations, and applicable laws.
  • All AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs must be reviewed for accuracy, quality, and appropriateness before use.
  • Employees are also expected to disclose when AI tools have been used in the creation of work and must not present AI-generated content as solely their own original work.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff including servers, hosts, bartenders, and support staff
  • Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate goals, specials, and service expectations
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and training to team members
  • Ensure staff compliance with grooming, uniform, and service standards
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
  • Monitor dining room activity to maintain service flow and guest satisfaction
  • Build relationships with regular guests and enhance the overall dining experience
  • Oversee floor operations during service, ensuring efficiency and organization
  • Coordinate seating, reservations, and waitlists to optimize capacity
  • Support inventory awareness, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies
  • Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations
  • Ensure all staff follow company procedures and service protocols
  • Assist with scheduling and staffing needs
  • Support payroll accuracy (timekeeping, breaks, etc.)
  • Collaborate with management on performance reviews and staffing decisions
  • Help drive sales through upselling and promotional initiatives
