About The Position

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent seasonal opening for the Cashier position at the Del Mar Fairgrounds & Racetrack. The Summer season is from June 10th through September 6th. Responsible for – Performs the daily activities of the cashier function by performing the following duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following: Maintains accurate accounting of all credit card sales on assigned location. Performs location worker assignments. Organizes all paperwork for cashier responsibilities including cash slips, over-ring and under-ring forms, and house charges. Verifies the proper items prices to the menu Verifies restaurant staff transactions and keeps cash register balanced. Monitors the proper recording of meal vouchers. Maintains accurate credit card handling procedures at all times. Follows all rules and regulations of Food and Beverage area. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • Must have basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have sufficient math ability to accurately count and handle money.
  • Must be able to use restaurant point of sale system.
  • Must have basic working knowledge of concession/cafeteria operation.
  • Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
  • Must have a pleasant personality and a neat appearance.
  • Must speak and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors and employees.
  • Must be able to be move between buildings and food areas and stand for long periods 2-4 hours.

  • Restaurant experience – a plus.
  • Aloha / Toast POS systems – a plus.
