About The Position

The Restaurant Busser/Food Runner assists servers to provide guests with proper, prompt, and courteous service. The role helps create guest loyalty by maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary restaurant environment and providing a welcoming experience. The position pays $16.90 per hour. A valid, unexpired California Food Handler and RBS Certificate is required.

Requirements

Valid, unexpired California Food Handler and RBS Certificates.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Professional appearance and attitude.
Excellent communication skills.
Basic mathematical skills.
Good knowledge of computer systems.
Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Previous customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Set up the station and complete opening and closing side work and procedures.
Provide high-quality service to guests and assist servers throughout meal periods.
Keep the restaurant clean and sanitary, including furniture, floors, dining areas, and restrooms; sweep and mop floors and keep restrooms stocked and maintained.
Set and reset the dining room according to specifications, including setting ashtrays with logo matches on each table.
Carry trays of plated food items with one hand and memorize seat positions and table numbers.
Know all menu food items and answer general questions about the restaurant.
Follow employee training guidelines, sanitation guidelines, the cleaning program, and opening and closing guidelines.
Sign and update duties before leaving, maintain two-way communication, and follow through on projects assigned by supervisors and team members.
Complete all items on the side-work list and perform preventative maintenance.
Use keys, security cards, and security codes only as authorized; value and respect company property.
Greet and thank customers with a smile and represent RED in a positive manner.
Provide assistance to all servers without hesitation and perform other duties reasonably assigned by management.
