About The Position
Heritage Landing in Punta Gorda, Florida, is seeking a Food Runner/Busser to support dining room and lounge operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The position includes preparing service materials and table settings, organizing and delivering food according to tickets, attending to guests’ water and place settings, clearing and resetting tables, and supporting servers as needed. The role also involves maintaining stocked and clean workstations, taking out trash, vacuuming the dining room, and following safe work practices. Regular and reliable attendance, including weekends and holidays, is required. The position requires one month of related experience or training.

Responsibilities
- Ensure all materials used by servers are clean and ready for daily operation.
- Know the position of each diner’s chair in the dining rooms and lounges.
- Set the outside line with underliner plates, flatware, doilies, linen napkins, and other items needed for food delivery.
- Organize plates in the window and match each plate with its ticket before delivering food to tables.
- Set tables in accordance with Troon Golf standards.
- Ensure each menu item is prepared exactly as specified on its ticket, and consult the chef before delivery if an item does not meet the specification.
- Fill and refill water glasses and remove unused place settings.
- Clear dishes in front of guests after each course.
- Clear and reset tables after guests leave, including changing tablecloths, brushing chairs, positioning chairs, and replacing silverware, glassware, and napkins.
- Assist servers when needed.
- Keep workstations stocked with items and ingredients.
- Clean workstations, take out trash, and vacuum the dining room.
- Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
- Perform other duties as required.
