Restaurant Assistant General Manager
About The Position
IWI, a franchisee of Noodles & Company, is hiring a Restaurant Assistant General Manager to help lead a fast-casual restaurant serving food made with real ingredients. The Assistant General Manager partners with the General Manager to lead the team, operate the restaurant, provide excellent guest service, and uphold Noodles & Company’s culture and standards. The role includes hiring, training, and managing team members and shift managers, developing talent, and supporting the restaurant’s operational and financial performance. The position requires at least one year of management and/or leadership experience and the ability to work 45 hours per week during restaurant operating hours. Shifts vary and may begin as early as 7 a.m. or end as late as 11 p.m. Driving may be required, and a valid driver’s license is required. The work may involve physical activities such as walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and moving objects weighing up to 55 pounds, along with other demands typical of a kitchen or restaurant environment.
Requirements
- At least one year of management and/or leadership experience.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to delegate responsibility effectively and motivate a team.
- Conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work 45 hours per week within operating hours, generally 11 a.m.–9 p.m., with flexibility for variable shifts that may start as early as 7 a.m. or end as late as 11 p.m.
- Ability to perform physical activities that may include walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and moving objects up to 55 pounds, as well as other physical requirements applicable to a standard kitchen or restaurant environment.
- Valid driver’s license, as driving may be needed.

- Partner with the General Manager to lead a high-performing team.
- Run the restaurant and provide fast, effective solutions.
- Lead with integrity and uphold the Noodles & Company culture.
- Welcome guests and deliver excellent customer service.
- Build trust within the team and recognize good performance.
- Follow operational policies and procedures.
- Hire, train, and manage restaurant team members and shift managers.
- Identify and develop talent, including preparing high performers for promotion.
- Follow inventory control procedures and guidelines.
- Assist with scheduling, expense tracking, labor management, and local restaurant marketing.
- Promote food safety practices that exceed company standards for food quality, safety, and cleanliness.
