Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information management, information technology, construction management, library and information science, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is an asset.
  • 10 years or more of relevant experience in information management, digital delivery, document control governance, or related disciplines, on complex infrastructure or capital projects.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 standard and information management principles.
  • Experience in developing and implementing: information governance frameworks, metadata and classification systems, naming conventions, information quality controls, compliance and audit processes.
  • Understanding of information structures in BIM, GIS, EDMS, PMIS, and other related digital environments.
  • Knowledge of principles related to digital handover, asset information requirements, and information used in digital twins.
  • Knowledge of data protection, information security, and controlled access environments.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the information management strategy for the project or program
  • Establish and maintain information governance frameworks, standards, and protocols
  • Develop and oversee information architecture, metadata structures, naming conventions, and classification systems
  • Ensure alignment of information management practices with project delivery requirements and lifecycle needs
  • Lead information quality assurance processes to verify completeness, consistency, traceability, and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, including ISO 19650, as well as relevant data protection and security requirements
  • Gather and translate stakeholder information requirements into clear governance rules and delivery processes
  • Oversee how information is structured in connected environments such as BIM, GIS, EDMS, PMIS, and Asset Information Systems
  • Lead audits, reviews, and reporting related to information management performance and compliance
  • Identify information-related risks and define mitigation measures
  • Support digital adoption and change management related to information management practices
  • Provide guidance and content expertise to delivery teams and stakeholders
