About The Position

Consumer Direct Care Network is seeking a compassionate, attentive Respite Provider to support a young girl in the Oconomowoc, Wisconsin area. The provider will deliver one-to-one care and supervision in the child’s home and in the community, encouraging outings and helping her participate in preferred, age-appropriate activities. The role includes supporting consistent routines, social, communication, and play skills, and using gentle guidance to redirect occasional heightened behaviors.

The schedule is to be discussed and determined between the provider and the managing party. The tentative schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with occasional Saturdays at varied hours. Compensation is $17.66 per hour. If hired by a Member or Managing Party, that party—not CDCN—will be the legal employer and will have sole authority to hire or dismiss the Direct Care Worker.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Pass a caregiver/criminal background check.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Previous experience working with individuals with behavioral support needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one care and supervision during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Provide respite care in the child’s home and in the community, with community outings encouraged.
• Assist with transportation, including picking the child up from school and helping her transition home or to a community activity.
• Support participation in age-appropriate activities such as the YMCA, library, dance class, and other preferred activities.
• Help build and practice social, communication, and play skills.
• Manage and redirect occasional heightened behaviors while maintaining a supportive approach.
