About The Position

The Respiratory Therapy Student Technician provides basic fundamentals of respiratory care (i.e. personal and restorative care) to patients according to predefined guidelines, a plan of care established by a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and under the direct supervision of the Respiratory Therapy staff. This role is for individuals currently enrolled or recent graduates of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Requirements

Must be currently enrolled or an unlicensed new graduate of an accredited, state approved, Respiratory Therapy program.
Required to complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
Must have de-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days); must have appropriate level of de-escalation training.

Must possess superior customer service skills and professional etiquette.
Must possess proficient knowledge and ability to use a computer (must be keyboard proficient) and other office technology (i.e., telephone, fax, etc.), MS Outlook and Word.
Must be able to demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment and apply appropriate professional skills to a patient population of all ages.

Responsibilities
