Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem
About The Position
Spartanburg Rehabilitation Institute in Spartanburg, South Carolina, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join its patient-care team. The institute provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation for people recovering from strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, and other disabling conditions. Its interdisciplinary team develops individualized treatment plans and supports patients’ recovery with intensive therapy programs and rehabilitation technologies. As a participating hospital of Ernest Health, the institute offers recognition, wellness, and retention programs. Requirements
- Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
- General computer skills, including data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
- Good judgment, initiative, problem-solving, decision-making, prioritizing, and organizational skills.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection-control standards.
Nice To Haves
- One year of recent experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates and treats patients with breathing disorders.
- Performs laboratory functions.
- Assumes primary responsibility for all respiratory care treatments.
- Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
