About The Position

Saint Joseph Health System is hiring a full-time Respiratory Therapist for a night-shift schedule of 1830–0700, working three 12-hour shifts and every third weekend. The role provides respiratory therapy to stabilize, prevent, or remedy patients’ respiratory problems. The therapist arranges and operates oxygen and other therapeutic gases, aerosolized, metered-dose, or powdered medications, and mechanical devices that assist patient recovery. The therapist also cleans and checks equipment for proper function and records therapy data in patient records.

Respiratory Therapists are part of a supportive, collaborative patient-care team and contribute to critical care, including work such as intubation and ground NICU maternal transport. The department uses respiratory-driven protocols, values respiratory therapists’ expertise, and supports student learning and professional development. A $15,000 signing bonus is advertised.

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Indiana.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Critical Care, NICU, Open Heart Recovery, and Bronchoscopy is preferred.

Responsibilities
