About The Position

Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts – Central Campus is a 47-bed critical care hospital in Rochdale, Massachusetts, providing acute care to patients recovering from serious illnesses and injuries. The hospital treats medically complex conditions, including trauma, infectious diseases, wounds, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and patients requiring ventilator weaning. It offers a fast-paced, friendly environment where staff can get to know patients and their families. The Respiratory Therapist provides efficient, quality-oriented patient care within the scope of the department’s policies and procedures. The role also includes equipment maintenance, changes, inventory, and setting up and operating respiratory care equipment used to diagnose and treat respiratory disease and illness.

Requirements

Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program.
Current, valid, active license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment.
Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor within six months of hire.
Ability to project a professional image.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

One year of critical care and/or artificial airway and ventilator care experience.

Responsibilities
