About The Position

Vibra Hospital of Southeastern Massachusetts is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide efficient, quality-oriented patient care within the department's policies and procedures. The role also includes supporting respiratory care operations through equipment maintenance, changes, inventory, and setting up and operating respiratory care equipment used to diagnose and treat respiratory disease and illness. The hospital is a 90-bed critical care facility in New Bedford, Massachusetts, serving patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries and those with medically complex conditions, including trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. The position offers work in a specialized, fast-paced, and friendly environment.

Requirements

Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program.
Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment.
Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor within six months of hire.
Ability to project a professional image.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

One year of critical care and/or artificial airway and ventilator care experience.
