About The Position

Central Carolina Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care to patients of all ages as part of a collaborative hospital team. The therapist will support patients across the hospital, including the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Labor & Delivery, providing respiratory treatments, airway management, mechanical ventilation, emergency response, and patient education.

This is a PRN, nonexempt position scheduled for night shifts of 12 hours, with weekends and holidays as needed. Applicants interested in days may discuss shift availability.

Requirements

• Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care License.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC.
• BCLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• NRP certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages throughout the hospital.
• Support patients in the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Labor & Delivery.
• Provide respiratory treatments and airway management.
• Manage mechanical ventilation.
• Participate in emergency response.
• Educate patients.
