About The Position

Texoma Medical Center (TMC), a 414-bed acute care facility serving North Texas and Southern Oklahoma, is hiring a Respiratory Therapist (RRT). The role provides therapeutic respiratory treatments to patients. In addition to the duties of a certified respiratory therapist, the RRT may perform advanced diagnostic testing, patient assessment, and intervention, and serves as a preceptor for other therapists. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

• A minimum of an associate degree from a respiratory therapy education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care, unless licensure was obtained prior to November 11, 2009.
• Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the Texas Medical Board and registered by the NBRC.
• Complete BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS, and PALS Healthcare Provider courses according to RQI program guidelines during new-hire orientation and before working in a clinical setting.
• Obtain NRP within 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• One year of full-time or three years of part-time experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
