About The Position
Vibra Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week local temporary assignment at Vibra Hospital of Central Dakotas in Mandan, North Dakota. The position pays $55 per hour. The hospital is a 41-bed critical care hospital providing long-term acute care to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries, including patients with medically complex conditions. The work environment is described as fast-paced and friendly, with opportunities to get to know patients and their families. The Respiratory Therapist provides efficient, quality-oriented patient care within department policies and procedures. The role also includes maintaining and changing equipment, managing inventory, and setting up and operating respiratory care equipment used to diagnose and treat respiratory disease or illness.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program.
- Current, valid, active license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment.
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
- ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor within six months of hire.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Nice To Haves
- One year of critical care and/or artificial airway and ventilator care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient, quality-oriented patient care within the scope of the department's policy and procedure manual.
- Perform support activities, including equipment maintenance, equipment changes, and inventory.
- Set up and operate respiratory care equipment used in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease or illness.
